It had 300 000 views before being taken down by YouTube for sexual content. Yet the original video stays up…
Amazing - proves their point when it got taken down though.
YES IT’S BACK.
During World War One, 10% of all casualties were civilians.
During World War Two, the number of civilian deaths rose to 50%.
During the Vietnam War, 70% of all casualties were civilians.
In the war in Iraq, civilians account for up to 90% of all deaths.”
WHAT DO ALL THESE ADS HAVE IN COMMON?
THEY ARE DESIGNED TO shame teen parents instead of looking at the system that creates poverty/lack of education and health care access.
these ads DO NOT END TEEN PREGNANCY all it does it dehumanize the people who are pregnant and blame them for not having enough resources. fuck that shit.
Candies invest thousands on their little ads INSTEAD OF INVESTING in resources that would actually help teens/teen moms. like, oh i don’t know, comprehensive sex education. like, scholarships for moms and dads to go to school. like pushing for abortion access. like, child care? what the actual fuck are they thinking?
saying moms cannot change the world. ARE YOU SERIOUS?
check out this video by TEEN MOMS THEMSELVES addressing this hate.
they are awesome
God I hate the Candies Foundation. I remember, when I was about 11 or 12, there was one of their ads in a Seventeen Mag that proclaimed “Babies suck” and was about how much formula costs. My mom was like deeply offended, and now I understand why. There’s something about hating on children and parents that hurts my soul. There’s a way to help young families without insulting or belittling their existence.
